As part of the VQB5 Initiative, we undergo CLASS Observations each Fall and Spring in all birth - 5 classes. We have local observers as well as external observers to ensure reliability in our scores. Our Quality Rating is based on the information from our observations and curriculum use. We currently utilize the Infant, Toddler and PreK Class Tools in our Program. As the children get older, each tool gains more domains and dimensions to incorporate the growing levels of development. The dimensions and domains incorporate emotional and relational supports regarding a positive environment, teachers awareness of children’s needs and regard for the child’s perspective. Classroom Organization areas around behavior management, productivity and implemented learning formats. Instructional Support to measure concept development, encouragement for students and language development.
